Sunday Gratitudes

A few things that are making me happy this week and that I’m grateful for:

A Mini-Vacation

I worked this week while I was in Orlando, but it felt great to get away even if it was just a 4-hour drive away. It was lovely spending the days and evenings with my family, seeing the kids having fun in the pool, and watching bad movies in the evenings over even worse Chinese food.

Disney World

It was very hot, humid, stormed in the afternoon, and was really crowded in the evening, but it was fun spending the Fourth of July at the Magic Kingdom with my mom.

The Wizarding World of Harry Potter at Universal Studios

It was really crowded and I didn’t get to ride any of the rides, but I loved seeing the world of Harry Potter come to life. I drank butterbeer and pumpkin juice and bought myself a scarf. Can you guess from what house?

Driving a Fiat 500

What a fun car I got to rent for my week in Orlando. I love how easily it maneuvers in small spaces. It just fits everywhere. And everyone kept looking at this sleek, little red car.

La Nouba by Cirque du Soleil

It was a great show and I enjoyed it, but what makes me extra happy is having gone with my mom and knowing she really liked it.

    • Excellent guess. Many of my friends pegged me as Ravenclaw. I got the Slytherin scarf. I think it’d be a toss up between those two. Theo thinks it would be Hufflepuff.

  1. I’m jealous about Harry Potter. 😐

    • It was fun. I know it may be a while before you go, but here’s a tip, go off-season or go after 4pm. It’s the most popular and crowded area in the whole park.
