Happy New Year!
I don’t know about you, but I had a great year. In January, I got to go behind the scenes of Strictly Ballroom. In February, I attended the fantastic Jean Paul Gaultier exhibit at the NGV. In June, I (finally) received my temporary residency visa. In August, I attended the Effective Altruism conference, which changed how I donate money to charity. In October, I had my gallbladder removed. That doesn’t sound like a good thing, but better out than in. In November/December, my partner and I spent four weeks in Florida. It was my first visit in a couple of years and his first ever. It was wonderful and hard to leave.
I didn’t blog much this year and went about four months without blogging at all. There are various reasons for that including putting my time and energy elsewhere and a lack of motivation to blog. Still, I’m not unhappy with the results. My annual Jetpack review reported that this blog was viewed about 15k times in 2015 with some old posts performing surprisingly well. I don’t know what 2016 will bring as far as this blog is concerned.
In general, I’m excited about 2016. I look forward to having new adventures, learning new information and skills, and spending quality time with awesome people. I hope the new year treats you well and 2016 is full of joy, laughter, love, and prosperity.
