Sunday Gratitudes

New York

A few things that are making me happy this week and that I’m grateful for:

Family Vacations

I’m not on one, but my sister, her husband, and three children have spent the week in New York City. Between a Quinces party and a trip, my smart niece chose a trip to the Big Apple. Good call. It’s not often they’re able to get away as a family and I hope they’re having a grand time.

Collingwood Beats the Swans

It was a difficult match on a dark and stormy night in Sydney, but Collingwood prevailed in the end, 78-70. The loss doesn’t cost Sydney the top spot on the ladder, but it does bring Collingwood just a little bit closer to the premiership. Go Pies!

I Look Like Barack Obama

This website is very silly and it made me laugh. It still makes me laugh.

My Spiritual Community

I just can’t say enough good things about my spiritual community. Increasingly, I’m saddened to be leaving such wonderful people and that I won’t be attending events such as Pagan Pride Day, Florida Pagan Gathering, or Turning the Tide or be a part of the organizing/volunteer efforts.

Being One Day Closer

The countdown to my trip has truly begun now. This week, I shipped my ritual tools, opened a new bank account, and applied for the longer tourist visa. I’m so excited!

  1. Cosette, this is so exciting! Thanks for sharing your adventure with all of us! I hope your family is enjoying NYC, too! My hubby was born in Hells Kitchen (lived there til he was 5) and his aunt still lives in Brooklyn. We are hoping to plan a trip out East to visit her and her HUGE family (her, hubby & 12 children – 3 sets of twins! Ha what are the odds of that?? LOL) in NY and the Uncles & families in Vermont.
