Sunday Gratitudes
A few things that are making me happy this week and that I’m grateful for:
Mini-Vacations
This week, I’m writing to you from Orlando, Florida, home to Walt Disney World, Universal Studios, SeaWorld, and other theme parks. It’s a working vacation for me, but it’s great to get away and work poolside with a margarita in hand.
Rental Cars
I don’t have a car and I drove up to Orlando in style in a red Fiat. It’s a fun little car and it felt great to hit the road.
Universal Studios’ Islands of Adventure
Today we’re headed to Islands of Adventure. I’ve never been to this park and I’m excited about visiting The Wizarding World of Harry Potter.
Dinner with Friends
One of my favorite things to do is go to a quiet restaurant with a group of friends. While we’ll order too much food, request separate checks, and linger too long at a table, never fear, dear servers, we are well-behaved and will tip generously.
Obamacare
Officially titled the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (PPACA), this much needed health care reform legislation was upheld by the United States Supreme Court this week. This means the end to insurance companies imposing sudden coverage limits on health care or dropping you when you get sick, no more exclusions for preexisting conditions, and no more 42 million Americans without basic health care.
